Our Awards

In 2013, Justice Desk Africa received recognition from the South African Presidency and the Duke of Edinburgh for our work.

In 2014, Justice Desk Africa was invited to become a partner of the World Summit of Nobel Peace Laureates.

In 2016, the work of

Justice Desk Africa

was recognised and we received an award from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace. This marked us joining the Queen's Young Leaders network.

In 2017, our Founder and CEO, Jessica Dewhurst was named  one of Forbes Magazine’s

Top 10 most inspiring South African Women.

In 2018, the organisation received a ‘Hero’ award from

Lead SA.

In 2019, Justice Desk Africa was chosen to be one of the first organisations to join "The Queens Commonwealth Trust", which The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle,

are the patrons of.

In September, Meghan and Harry travelled to South Africa, and visited The Justice Desk.

The organisation also received accolades in this year from

The Obama Africa Foundation, and was named as one of News 24’s 100 Young Mandela’s.

2019 also marked the nomination and the announcement of our founder and CEO as one of Glamour Magazine's Women of the Year for the organisation's activism.

In 2020, The UK Start Network named Justice Desk Africa

as the winner of their

"Brave Category" award. Our organisation was also named as

The UK's Prestige Awards 

"Human Rights Organisation" of the Year" for 2020.
