The Mbokodo Project in South Africa is supported by the Australian Government through the Australian NGO Cooperation Program (ANCP) and Edmund Rice Foundation Australia

The Mbokodo Project aims to educate, empower and equip those deemed most vulnerable in the South African context: the girl child and young women of colour from underserved communities who are survivors of rape and gender-based violence.

The Mbokodo Project (which translates to The Rock Project from isiXhosa), focuses on offering women empowerment workshops, mental health care support, and self-defense programs to girl survivors of gender-based violence and rape.

Through a variety of transformative processes, our girls are equipped and empowered to become incredible leaders and champions for human rights in their communities.
